You’ve found this page so you probably already know what ‘barre classes’ are (good girl) but in case you need a refresher, the simple answer is that Barre fitness is the happy marriage between Pilates, fitness and Ballet. The average barre class involves small, conditioning movements in combination with larger, full body exercises with assistance weapon of choice from the ballet barre, hands weights, resistance bands and Pilates ball. What makes our Barre Beans method better-than-average is the FLOW, our expert instructors and kick-ass tunes; all culminating in 45mins of good-ouch.

One of the main benefits of barre fitness is that it helps to tone, strength and strengthen the body while improving balance and stability. The small, precise movements required in a barre class help to build lean muscles and strengthen the core, glutes, legs, and arms, while also promoting better alignment and stability in the body. From just a few weeks of practicing barre we expect you to feel more confident, stronger and less likely to get injured in day to day life.
In addition to improving balance and stability, barre classes can also help increase flexibility and range of motion. The stretches and poses incorporated into the workouts help to lengthen and loosen the muscles, improving overall flexibility and reducing the risk of muscle strain (PLUS, good mobility is such a flex).
Another benefit of barre that we absolutely love is its ability to transform and improve posture. The focus on proper alignment and the use of the barre to support the body can help to realign the spine and improve overall posture. Our Barre Beans classes are a seamless flow of exercises with additional cardio resulting in an impactful full-body workout. You can expect classic exercises such as plies, squats, lunges, leg lifts, arm raises, and more. You will be challenged both mentally and physically to keep your energy up but do not fear, our motivational trainers are highly skilled at reading the room and will offer beginner and advanced modifications throughout. When you reach the cool down component at the end of the session you will be sweaty, invigorated and feeling the power of the pulse.
