I wake up at 5am most mornings, drink a glass of water and make an earl grey tea to take to work.
Depending on my morning I’ll either eat breakfast after I’ve taught the morning classes (so around 8am) or, if I’m flat out until lunch I’ll blend homemade almond milk, cacao, cinnamon, collagen, half a banana and some hemp seeds to keep me going. If I’m having breakfast at home I’ll usually either make eggs with avo and some toast or veggies, or I’ll do oats, fruit, peanut butter and almond milk or yogurt. I’m definitely a 3-meal-a-day kind of person and find I don’t get hungry in between meals so I don’t snack.
I definitely don’t workout as much as I used to, but I’m getting better at listening to my body and not just flogging it every day! If I do do a class it’ll probably be at Lean Bean, although I do like a bit of Pilates, yoga or weights based training. Occasionally I’ll go for a run…
I’m lucky because I can normally come home for lunch, I’ll make a salad with lots of veggies, maybe some smoked fish, seeds, olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Then I’ll have a few squares of 90% dark chocolate (and I use the term ‘few’ loosely!) and a tea.
Some afternoons I’ll have PT clients, but if I don’t I try and do some life admin. I’ll go for a quick swim or do some food prep… I’m making my own almond milk now so I do this once or twice a week.
If I have to work late then I’ll try and eat dinner before I go to work, or if I had a late breakfast and a late lunch I’ll just have something really small so I don’t go to sleep on a full stomach… I definitely sleep better that way.
Evenings are normally for Netflix, sometimes a little walk across to Bronte (we live in Tamarama) and then half an hour before we go to sleep we’ll normally read in bed (although I normally fall asleep while trying to read!) We try and have lights off around 9/9:30… although now that the bachelor in paradise has started that’s proving rather hard.
